We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Chief Engineer (Classroom Instructor)

Location: Warri, Delta

Job Summary

• We’re seeking an experienced Chief Engineer with a strong classroom teaching background to lead our engineering department and deliver high-quality training to students.
• The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of marine engineering principles and be able to effectively convey complex concepts to students.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the engineering department
• Develop and deliver classroom training and assessments for maritime students
• Create and update course materials to meet STCW and regulatory requirements
• Oversee practical training and ensure compliance with industry standards
• Provide guidance and mentorship to students and junior staff
• Collaborate with other instructors to ensure consistency and quality of training.

Requirements

• Chief Engineer certification (Class 1 or 2)
• Minimum of 5 years classroom teaching experience in a maritime training program
• Strong knowledge of marine engineering principles and STCW regulations
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing needs.

Desirable:

• Experience with online learning platforms and digital tools
• Familiarity with Nigerian maritime regulations and industry practices.
