We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Chief Electrician

Location: Rivers
Job type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • The Electrician ensures all preventative and corrective maintenance is completed within the required timescale and in accordance with the maintenance management set out by the Rig Maintenance Supervisor and in compliance with Borr Drilling Policies and Procedures.
  •  The Electrician is responsible for ensuring all electrical equipment and systems remain functional throughout operations so as to minimise downtime.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Safely and efficiently perform all duties assigned by the Rig Maintenance Supervisor on the day-to-day management and long-range stewardship of the rig.
  • Ensure all operations are carried out in a safe and conscientious manner, and are responsible for correcting or notifying responsible persons of any unsafe acts and/or conditions which exist.
  • Actively participate in and contribute to pre-shift and Toolbox Talk meetings; Observation program, or special operations safety meetings, and ensure any concerns or issues are reported appropriately.
  • Ensure that entries on permits, isolation tags and logs accurately reflect the current status of equipment.
  • Perform other duties, complete additional tasks and support ad hoc projects as required.
  • Work with the assigned assessor to complete the Borr Competence Management System “BCAMS” and, where necessary, identify any areas for development. Provide demonstrable evidence to complement the assessor outcomes.

Qualifications and Experience

  • The Electrician shall have a minimum, a High School or similar education with a minimum of 8 years of oilfield experience
  • Specifically, we require individuals who have 4 years of experience in the role of electrician onboard an offshore installation, where they have had experience with: drilling instrumentation and equipment in hazardous areas
  •  Candidates must hold their Offshore Survival (OPITO BOSIET/FOET), Offshore Medical (OEUK) and Comp Ex.
