Job Title: Cashier

Location: Oke Ado, Ibadan – Oyo

About the Role

• We are looking for a reliable, accurate, and customer-focused Cashier to join our team at our Oke-Ado location in Ibadan.
• The ideal candidate should be comfortable handling cash and electronic payments, attending to customers, recording transactions, and ensuring that all daily sales collections are properly accounted for.
• Candidates with experience in supermarkets, retail stores, restaurants, pharmacies, hotels, or other customer-facing businesses involving cash/POS transactions are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive and process customer payments through cash, POS, bank transfers, and other approved payment channels.
• Accurately record all sales transactions and issue receipts where applicable.
• Reconcile cash, POS, and transfer transactions at the end of each shift/day.
• Report any discrepancies or irregularities to the supervisor promptly.
• Attend to customers courteously and provide accurate information about products, prices, and payments.
• Ensure correct pricing and quantities are entered before completing transactions.
• Handle customer payment enquiries and escalate refunds or disputed transactions when necessary.
• Keep proper records of daily transactions and submit required reports.

Requirements

• Minimum of OND; candidates with OND, NCE, HND, or a Bachelor’s degree are encouraged to apply.
• 1–3 years of experience in cashiering, retail sales, POS operations, customer service, or any role involving regular cash/payment handling.
• Previous experience in a supermarket, retail store, restaurant, hotel, pharmacy, or similar environment is an advantage.
• Comfortable using POS terminals and handling different payment methods.
• Basic computer skills; knowledge of Microsoft Excel is an advantage.
• Good numerical and record-keeping skills.
• Must be able to work from *Oke-Ado, Ibadan, and commute conveniently to the location.

Salary
N100,000 – N120,000 monthly.
