Job Title: Care Assistant / Support Worker

Job Summary 

• The Care Assistant / Support Worker will provide high-quality personal, practical, and emotional care to clients in their homes.
• The role is central to supporting individuals to maintain dignity, independence, and quality of life, while promoting their physical and emotional wellbeing in line with agreed care plans.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care, including bathing, dressing, mobility, and grooming.
• Prepare meals and provide support with feeding when necessary.
• Remind and support clients in taking medications as outlined in their care plans.
• Provide companionship, emotional support, and promote independence.
• Maintain accurate daily care records and report any concerns to the Senior Carer / Manager.

Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum of 1–2 years’ experience in a similar care or support role (preferred but not essential).
• Basic Care Training and certifications such as CPR & First Aid, Safeguarding Awareness are an advantage.
• Compassionate, empathetic, and committed to providing quality care.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable, patient, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
