We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Captain

Location: Rivers
Employment Type: Full Time

Job Summary

  • We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vessel Captain for our fast crew boat operations.
  • The ideal candidate will ensure safe navigation, efficient vessel management, and high-quality service delivery.
  • This will include overseeing crew performance, maintaining compliance with maritime regulations, and ensuring the safety of passengers, cargo, and equipment.
  • Candidates must hold valid certifications, have a proven track record in vessel operations, and demonstrate excellent leadership and decision-making skills. Join our dynamic team and contribute to our commitment to excellence in marine logistics.

Requirements (Education / Training / Experience)

  • Minimum, High School Diploma or equivalent (SSCE is mandatory)
  • Certificate of Competency (CoC) from NIMASA – STCW REG II/1
  • STCW 2010, Basic Security Awareness, Bridge Resource Mgt, Advanced Medical and Seafarer’s Medical
  • Advanced firefighting, Proficiency in lifeboat, GMDSS, ISPS CODE, ARPA/Radar
  • Knowledge and experience in surfer boat landing operations, is a must.
  • Minimum of 5 years as a captain, ideally on Fast Crew Boats
  • Firm knowledge of waterways, craft communication, signaling and navigation systems.

Core Competencies:

  • Mastery of navigation techniques, including GPS, radar and chart plotting.
  • Mastery in maneuvering vessels under various conditions such as docking, mooring and emergencies.
  • Knowledge of basic sailing ethics, conversant with different offshore and creek locations and their boat landings.
  • Mastery in reading and interpreting tide charts and model navigation equipment.
  • Ability to use computer and software’s for routine reporting.
