Buckler Systems is a leading manufacturer of armored vehicles, specializing in both military and civilian defense solutions. Our innovative approach and commitment to quality have positioned us as a key player in the defense industry. We are seeking a driven Business Development Officer to join our team and help expand our market presence.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Business Development Officer

Location: Lekki, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities to drive company growth in the defense and armored vehicle sector.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with potential clients, partners, and key stakeholders.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor analysis, and opportunities for new product development.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to clients and partners.
  • Collaborate with the marketing and sales teams to develop strategies that align with business objectives.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements, ensuring mutually beneficial terms for Buckler Systems and our clients.
  • Track and report on sales metrics, business performance, and growth strategies to senior management.
  • Participate in industry events, trade shows, and networking activities to enhance the company’s visibility and build strategic alliances.
  • Stay updated on industry developments and emerging technologies to position Buckler Systems as a leader in the market.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or a similar role.
  • Proven track record of achieving business growth and exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong understanding of market dynamics and customer needs in the defense or automotive sector.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently, with a strategic mindset and a focus on results.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.
