Job Title: Business Development Manager

Job Summary

  • The Business Development Manager will lead commercial growth efforts across all channels from corporate bookings to long-term stays and strategic partnerships.
  • This role is central to identifying opportunities, building client relationships, and shaping and driving initiatives that align with the company’s vision for excellence and expansion.
  • The ideal candidate will possess a strong blend of sales acumen, relationship management, and market insight, with a proven ability to unlock revenue opportunities and drive measurable business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic business development plans that drive occupancy, corporate partnerships, and long-stay bookings.
  • Identify and cultivate relationships with key stakeholders, including corporate clients, relocation agencies, tour operators, embassies, and medical tourism facilitators.
  • Expand and maintain a strong sales pipeline through market mapping, cold outreach, referrals, and lead conversion.
  • Design and execute campaigns and packages that attract target customer segments.
  • Manage client onboarding processes, ensuring a seamless transition from inquiry to confirmed booking.
  • Lead contract negotiations, pricing agreements, and proposal development in line with commercial targets.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to inform strategy and product positioning.
  • Prepare performance reports, forecasts, and dashboards to track progress against targets.
  • Represent the brand at industry events, exhibitions, and networking opportunities to increase visibility.
  • Work cross-functionally with operations and guest services to ensure high levels of client satisfaction and repeat business.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in sales, business development, or key account management, ideally within the hospitality, real estate, or service industry, and a B.Sc
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and developing successful B2B relationships.
  • A strategic thinker with strong negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Self-driven and entrepreneurial, with a knack for identifying and converting opportunities.
  • Knowledge of the Abuja hospitality or real estate market is a strong advantage.
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work across departments.
  • Analytical and data-savvy, comfortable with sales reports, pipeline tracking, and ROI analysis.
