We are Uni-medical Healthcare Limited Nigeria, a subsidiary of Unigloves Singapore, owned by UG Healthcare cooperation. Unigloves is one of the largest manufacturers of disposable products for the dental, medical, nursing, hospital sectors and for the industry. Our manufacturing company is N. S. UNI- Gloves in Malaysia. We have marketing offices in over 10 countries in the world including Nigeria, Singapore, UK, USA, Germany, China, Brazil, Australia, Canada and Japan. We supply a wide range of cross infection control products. We make and supply over 3 billion gloves annually to medical professionals, as well as specialists in the food, automotive, janitorial and care sectors. The company’s Head Office is located at Plot B2, Block 73f. Alakoso Avenue, Amuwo Odofin Industrial Estate, Lagos with marketing offices in Abuja, Asaba, and Enugu.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Business Development Manager

Locations: Akure – Ondo, and Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Reports To: Regional Sales Manager Lagos/South west

Job Overview

  • The Business Development Manager – Medical Sales will be responsible for driving sales growth, identifying new business opportunities, and building strong, long-lasting relationships with clients.
  • This role requires experience selling medical consumables/ devices, a strategic thinker with a proven track record of sales experience, negotiation skills, and the ability to expand the company’s customer base.

Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy Development:

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets and business objectives.

Market Research and Analysis:

  • Conduct market research to identify new opportunities, potential clients, and emerging trends. Analyze competitors and customer needs to stay ahead in the market.

Client Acquisition and Relationship Management:

  • Identify and target potential clients, build a solid pipeline, and convert prospects into long-term customers. Maintain and nurture relationships with existing clients to ensure retention and continued business.

Sales Presentations and Negotiations:

  • Lead sales presentations, product demonstrations, and negotiations with prospective clients. Tailor presentations to meet client needs and address any objections or concerns.

Collaboration with Cross-functional Teams:

  • Work closely with the marketing, product development, and customer service teams to ensure the company’s offerings align with client expectations.

Sales Reporting and Forecasting:

  • Provide regular sales reports, forecasts, and market analysis to senior management. Track progress against sales goals and adjust strategies as necessary.

Networking and Industry Events:

  • Attend industry events, conferences, and trade shows to network with potential clients and stay updated on industry trends.

Qualifications
Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Bio-Chemistry, Micro-Biology or a related field.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in sales or business development with a proven track record in meeting or exceeding sales target in selling Medical device, medical consumable and devices.

Skills:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent negotiation and closing skills
  • Strategic thinking with a focus on business growth
  • Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
