Job Title: Business Developer / Sponsorship Sales Specialist

Location: Lagos

Job Description

  • As a Business Developer/Sponsorship Sales Specialist, you’ll play a crucial role in driving revenue by identifying and securing sponsorships, partnerships, and business opportunities for XFP’s projects, events, and initiatives.
  • A Business Developer/Sponsorship Sales Specialist is primarily responsible foridentifying, cultivating, and securing sponsorship deals with potential clients by building relationships, understanding their needs, and presenting compelling sponsorship packages that align with the company’s goals, often involving market research, proposal development, negotiation, and ongoing account management to maintain long-term partnerships.

Key Responsibilities
Prospecting and Lead Generation:

  • Identify potential sponsors within target markets through networking, market research, and industry connections.
  • Develop and execute lead generation strategies to reach new prospects.
  • Qualify leads based on their needs, budget, and alignment with sponsorship opportunities.

Relationship Building:

  • Establish and nurture relationships with key decision-makers at potential sponsor companies.
  • Understand clients’ business objectives and marketing goals to tailor sponsorship packages accordingly.
  • Conduct in-depth presentations showcasing the value proposition of sponsorship opportunities.

Sponsorship Package Development:

  • Design customized sponsorship packages with various activation options like branding, event access, content creation, and promotional opportunities.
  • Create compelling proposals that clearly articulate the benefits and ROI for potential sponsors.
  • Analyze market data and pricing strategies to determine appropriate sponsorship fees.

Negotiation and Closing Deals:

  • Negotiate terms and conditions of sponsorship agreements with potential clients.
  • Effectively address objections and concerns raised by prospective sponsors.
  • Close sponsorship deals and secure signed contracts.

Account Management:

  • Manage existing sponsorship relationships by providing regular updates on activation progress and ROI analysis.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to maintain long-term partnerships.
  • Identify opportunities to upsell or cross-sell additional sponsorship packages to existing clients.

Market Analysis and Reporting:

  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activity, and market dynamics.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of sponsorship campaigns.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports for internal stakeholders detailing sales performance and future strategies.

Requirements

  • OND / HND qualification with 3 – 5 years of experience.
