Job Title: Business Application Risk Analyst (Team Lead)

Job Summary

• As a Team Lead Business Application Risk Manager, you will lead the assessment and mitigation of risks within core business applications (e.g., Temenos, SAP, Oracle).
• You will oversee the design and implementation of controls, work closely with IT and business units, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards (CBN, NDPR, ISO 27001). This role is critical in enhancing the organization’s digital risk resilience.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct risk assessments of business applications (e.g., ERP, CRM, HRIS, Core Banking Systems).
• Identify vulnerabilities, control gaps, or process inefficiencies within application environments.
• Monitor risk indicators and application performance for compliance with SLAs and policies.
• Evaluate and enhance application-level controls (e.g., access controls, change management, audit trails).
• Support periodic IT general controls (ITGC) and application controls testing.
• Collaborate with internal/external auditors during audits and implement corrective action plans.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., NDPR, CBN IT Standards, ISO 27001).
• Develop and maintain risk registers and control matrices for key applications.
• Review third-party vendor applications and contracts for risk exposure.
• Monitor and review user access rights and segregation of duties (SoD) in business applications.
• Participate in periodic access recertification exercises.
• Ensure privileged access is properly controlled and monitored.
• Review and track application-related incidents and root cause analyses.
• Assess risk impact of application updates, patches, or new deployments.
• Prepare reports for management on risk posture, incidents, and audit outcomes.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation on risk mitigation plans, policies, and procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Accounting, or related field.
• 5–10 years in IT Risk, Internal Audit, or Cybersecurity.
• Strong knowledge of banking platforms and regulatory environment.
• Certifications: CISA, CRISC, CISSP, or equivalent.
• Experience with major business applications such as SAP, Oracle, Temenos, or Microsoft Dynamics.
• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as CBN guidelines, NDPR, or international standards.
