We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Bridge Supervisor / Project Engineer, Vessel Integration (Riserless Well Intervention Project)

Location: Offshore (DP2 Vessel)
Employment Type: Full-time (Project-Based)
Rotation: Typically 28/28 days
Reports To: Offshore Installation Manager (OIM) / Vessel Master

Role Summary

  • As the Bridge Supervisor, you will serve as the offshore operational lead on a DP2 vessel, directing real-time coordination of deck operations, well control equipment deployment, and ROV tooling during riserless interventions.
  • Operating from the vessel bridge, you will ensure safe, efficient, and compliant execution of all tasks, maintaining strict alignment with project plans, marine procedures, and client standards (i.e., Shell, BV & DNV).

Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership from the Bridge:

  • Coordinate daily riserless intervention operations (mobilization, deployment, retrieval) from the bridge.
  • Act as the central communication hub between intervention crews, marine crew, ROV pilots, and client representatives.
  • Monitor DP station-keeping, weather conditions, and deck activities to ensure operational continuity and safety.

Supervision of Deck Operations:

  • Oversee lifting/handling of well intervention packages (WCPs, tool containers, HPUs) by deck crews.
  • Ensure all lifts comply with approved lift plans, vessel crane limits, and Shell lifting guidelines.
  • Verify sea fastening/rig-up of equipment against engineering specs and deck layout plans.

Well Control Equipment Oversight:

  • Supervise rig-up, testing, and operation of riserless systems (WCPs, downlines, control systems).
  • Coordinate pressure testing and integrity checks with Intervention Supervisors/service providers.
  • Enforce compliance with well control procedures and pressure safety standards.

ROV Tooling Supervision:

  • Direct ROV operations for subsea interventions (tool deployment, valve operations, wellhead access).
  • Monitor ROV interface with well access systems (SSXT) and validate tooling readiness for live wells.
  • Ensure safe ROV interaction with subsea infrastructure during critical tasks.

Safety & Marine Coordination:

  • Lead pre-task safety briefings and manage Permit-to-Work (PTW) systems for intervention tasks.
  • Coordinate SIMOPS with marine crew, focusing on DP status, equipment movements, and emergency response.
  • Act as first responder for operational upsets or emergencies involving LWI activities.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain bridge operations logs (activities, events, communications).
  • Deliver daily updates/shift handovers to OIM, LWI Supervisor, and onshore teams.
  • Drive lessons-learned reviews and report non-conformances/safety observations.

Qualifications & Experience
Essential:
Experience:

  • 7+ years offshore in well intervention, marine operations, or deck supervision.
  • Proven expertise in light well intervention (LWI) and riserless well access systems.

Certifications:

  • IWCF Level 4 (Well Control).
  • BOSIET/FOET with valid offshore medical certificate.

Technical Knowledge:

  • Mastery of DP operations, subsea control systems, and pressure equipment.
  • Familiarity with Shell lifting/hoisting guidelines, DNV standards, and SIMOPS protocols.

Desired:

  • DP Advanced certification.
  • Experience with ROV tooling interfaces (e.g., Schilling HD systems).
  • Formal training in marine crisis management or incident investigation.

Skills & Competencies

  • Leadership: Decisive command during emergencies; ability to direct multidisciplinary teams.
  • Technical Acumen: Fluency in interpreting DP readouts, lift plans, and P&IDs.
  • Communication: Clear, real-time coordination across bridge/VHF radio.
  • Risk Management: Proactive hazard identification (e.g., weather, equipment clashes).
  • Attention to Detail: Rigorous adherence to procedures with zero tolerance for deviations.

Working Conditions

  • Environment: Harsh offshore setting; 12-hour shifts; exposure to noise, hydrocarbons, and heavy machinery.
  • Criticality: Must maintain constant vigilance during DP operations and live-well interventions.
  • Compliance: Adherence to drug/alcohol policies and mandatory safety drills.
