Job Title: Breakfast Chef

Location: Gwarimpa, Abuja
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

• He/She is responsible for opening the kitchen early, prepping, and cooking a wide range of Nigeria(e.g., Akara, Moi Moi, Yam, Plantain) and Continental breakfast items for buffet or à la carte service.
• Key duties include: managing the buffet, ensuring food quality and safety, maintaining high hygiene standards, and controlling food waste.
• Menu Preparation: Preparing, cooking, and presenting a variety of Nigerian and international dishes, often including traditional items like yam, plantain, Akara, and stew.
• Buffet & Service Management: Setting up, maintaining, and replenishing the breakfast buffet, ensuring food is fresh and available, and promptly serving à la carte orders.
• Hygiene and Safety: Adhering strictly to HACCP plans, food safety standards, and keeping the kitchen, equipment, and workstations spotless.
• Stock Control: Managing inventory, checking deliveries, and reducing food waste.
• Operational Support: Often working from early hours (e.g., 6 am) and assisting with prep for lunch or other departments as needed.
• Customer Service: Catering to special dietary requirements and guest preferences.

Requirements

• Interested candidates should possess an HND with at least 2 years experience.
