Key Responsibilities

  • Post journal entries accurately and maintain the general ledger

Accounts Payable & Receivable:

  • Follow up on outstanding guest invoices and manage corporate billing records
  • Assist with event deposit processing, payment collection, and post-event reconciliations
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date vendor payment schedules

Reporting & Compliance:

  • Prepare weekly expense summaries for each of the four business units
  • Support month-end close activities, account reconciliations, and trial balance preparation
  • Assist in the preparation of VAT and WHT schedules as directed by the Finance Manager
  • Maintain organised digital and physical filing of all financial documents and vouchers

Inventory & Cost Support:

  • Assist with periodic stock counts for the restaurant, bar, and housekeeping stores
  • Record inventory receipts and cross-reference against purchase orders
  • Flag discrepancies in food & beverage cost reports promptly to the Finance Manager
  • Support event costing exercises and contribute to post-event profitability reviews

Requirements
Required:

  • OND, HND, or BSc in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Basic understanding of double-entry bookkeeping principles
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables)
  • Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English

Preferred / Advantageous:

  • 0 – 2 years of bookkeeping or accounts experience (NYSC counts)
  • Familiarity with accounting software (Sage, QuickBooks, or similar)
  • Prior exposure to a hospitality or retail environment
  • Student membership of ICAN or ACCA is an added advantage

Key Skills & Attributes:

  • High level of integrity and discretion when handling confidential financial data
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously under deadline pressure across concurrent business units
  • Collaborative team player capable of working effectively with non-finance departments such as front desk, kitchen, and events
  • Eagerness to learn, take initiative, and grow within the hospitality finance function
  • Flexibility to work on weekends or public holidays during peak occupancy periods or scheduled events

What We Offer

  • Salary: N150,000 – N200,000 monthly commensurate with qualifications and experience
