We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Blasting / Painting Foreman – Oil & Gas Construction Projects 

Location: Warri – Delta / Port Harcourt – Rivers
Employment Type: Contract

Key Responsibilities

  • Blasting and Painting Management: Supervise surface preparation (blasting) and coating application (painting) activities, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage blasting and painting crews, providing guidance and training as needed.
  • Safety Compliance: Ensure all blasting and painting activities adhere to HES (Health, Environment, and Safety) standards and Company procedures.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed records of blasting and painting activities, including inspection reports and certification documents.
  • Coordination: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other foremen to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve issues related to blasting and painting promptly.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Education: OND or equivalent in a technical subject.
  • Certification: Level 1 Certification in ICAT (International Coating Applicator Training) or equivalent.
  • Experience: Minimum of 15 years of experience as a Blasting and Painting foreman/supervisor in offshore environments.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in blasting and painting techniques.
  • Strong knowledge of safety standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills.

Certifications:

  • OPITO Basic Offshore Survival Induction and Emergency Training (BOSIET).
  • Additional certifications in coating inspection or NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) are an advantage.

Key Competencies:

  • Technical Expertise: In-depth understanding of blasting and painting processes.
  • Attention to Detail: Ensure all blasting and painting activities meet Company specifications and safety standards.
  • Leadership: Ability to lead and motivate teams to achieve project goals.
  • Time Management: Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
