General Job Description

• We are seeking a highly qualified and passionate Biology and Chemistry Teacher to join our academic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both biology and chemistry, with a commitment to fostering a positive and engaging learning environment.

General Responsibilities
Curriculum Development:

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans in accordance with the school’s curriculum and international standards.
• Stay abreast of current educational trends, incorporating innovative teaching methods into the curriculum.

Classroom Instruction:

• Deliver effective and interactive instruction in both Biology and Chemistry to students of various grade levels.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and critical thinking.

Assessment and Evaluation:

• Design assessments to measure student understanding and progress.
• Provide constructive feedback to students and parents on academic performance.

Lab Management:

• Oversee laboratory activities, ensuring a safe and organized environment for hands-on experiments.
• Facilitate practical demonstrations to enhance students’ understanding of scientific concepts.

Student Support:

• Provide academic support to students through tutorials, mentorship, and additional resources as needed.
• Foster a supportive and respectful rapport with students, promoting a positive learning experience.

Professional Development:

• Engage in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay informed about advancements in Biology and Chemistry education.
• Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the overall academic excellence of the school.

General Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, Chemistry, or a related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
• TRCN certification.
• 3 years minimum experience
• Proven experience teaching Biology and Chemistry at the secondary level.
• Familiarity with international curricula (e.g., , IGCSE) is an advantage.
• Strong classroom management and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and culturally diverse learning environment.

Salary
N50,000 – N70,000 / Month.
