Job Description

• We are seeking a bilingual radio presenter to serve as the voice of our Trust Radio program, the ideal candidate will be tasked with engaging, informing, and entertaining our diverse audience in English and Hausa languages.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Present live or pre-recorded shows, providing links between programs and music tracks while maintaining a consistent tone.
• Research topics, write scripts, and develop show formats in both languages to ensure accuracy and engagement.
• Conduct live or recorded interviews with guests, celebrities, or politicians, often translating or summarizing key points for our bilingual audience.
• “Drive” the radio desk, operating technical equipment for recording, playback, and live mixing of music and jingles.
• Interact with listeners through live calls, social media, and on-air competitions to build a loyal community.
• Deliver concise news bulletins, traffic, and weather reports accurately in both languages

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, or a related field.
• Exceptional command of Hausa and English Language
• A clear, engaging, and personable “radio voice” that sounds like a real person talking with rather than at the audience.
• Proficiency in using social media platforms and digital content management tools.
• A strong understanding of broadcasting codes of conduct, copyright, and media regulations.
