We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Auxilary Nurse

Location: Gaduwa, Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time
Department: Nursing / Medical Services
Reports To: Head Nurse / Nursing Officer

Job Summary

  • The Auxiliary Nurse provides basic nursing care and support to patients under the supervision of registered nurses or other healthcare professionals.
  • They assist with daily tasks to ensure the comfort and well-being of patients in a hospital, clinic, or care home setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist patients with daily personal hygiene (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting).
  • Help with feeding patients who need assistance.
  • Take and record vital signs (temperature, blood pressure, pulse, respiration).
  • Make beds and ensure the cleanliness of patient rooms and wards.
  • Support mobility by helping patients walk or move with aids.
  • Report any changes in a patient’s condition to the nurse in charge.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to patients.
  • Maintain accurate records of care and services provided.
  • Assist in transporting patients within the facility.
  • Help restock supplies and maintain cleanliness in the ward or clinic.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree / Masters Degree
  • Completion of an Auxiliary Nurse Training Program (certified).
  • Minimum of 6years experience in a clinical or care setting (preferred).
  • Basic knowledge of health and safety standards.
  • Empathy, patience, and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under supervision and follow instructions.
  • Physical stamina and emotional resilience.

Working Conditions:

  • Shifts may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Work may involve long hours standing and lifting patients.
