We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Automobile Technician

Location: Obafemi Owode, Ogun
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily activities of the automobile unit, including drivers and mechanics.
  • Plan and oversee deployment and scheduling of factory vehicles.
  • Ensure all assigned vehicles are operational, serviced, and ready for use.
  • Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance schedules for vehicles.
  • Maintain up-to-date service and maintenance records.
  • Liaise with mechanics and vendors for spare parts procurement and repair support.
  • Manage driver schedules, performance, and adherence to transport policies.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and traffic regulations.
  • Allocate manpower and vehicle resources efficiently to meet operational needs.
  • Maintain detailed records of servicing, repairs, and fuel consumption.
  • Prepare and submit regular reports to the HOD-Engineering.
  • Track automobile expenditures and implement cost-saving measures.
  • Enforce HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) standards in all automobile operations.
  • Conduct safety inspections and ensure compliance with vehicle usage procedures.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Education: B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years relevant experience in automobile maintenance, fleet management, or supervision (preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting).
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance and workshop operations.
  • Ability to plan and implement preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Proficiency in record keeping, cost tracking, and logistics coordination.
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High attention to detail and safety awareness.
  • Ability to manage teams effectively and work under pressure.

Salary
N300,000 – N400,000 monthly.
