Job Title: Audio Annotator (English / Hausa)

Location: Ikeja, Lagos

Job Summary

• We are looking for detail-oriented and language-proficient individuals to join our AI Data team as Audio Annotators.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for listening to, transcribing, labeling, and reviewing audio data in either English or Hausa.
• This role supports the development of speech recognition and natural language processing systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Listen to audio recordings and accurately transcribe spoken words.
• Annotate and label audio clips based on set guidelines. Identify and correct errors in transcripts and annotations.
• Ensure quality, consistency, and timely delivery of assigned tasks.
• Follow project-specific instructions and feedback from supervisors.
• Report any recurring audio issues or unclear content.

Requirements

• A degree in English, Linguistics, Hausa, or any related field.
• 0 – 2 years experience in transcription, annotation, or data labelling (experience in AI or NLP projects is a plus).
• Excellent command of English or Hausa (both written and spoken).
• Good listening skills and attention to detail.
• Basic computer skills and ability to work with audio annotation tools.
• Strong time management and ability to meet deadlines.
