Obafemi Awolowo University, Ife is a first-generation comprehensive public institution established in 1961 as the University of Ife by the then Western Region of Nigeria. In August 1975, the Federal Government of Nigeria took over the University and in 1987 renamed it after Chief Obafemi Awolowo, a frontline Nigerian Statesman and one of the University’s founding fathers. The University is situated on a vast expanse of land of 11,861 hectares in Ile-Ife, Osun State, Southwest of Nigeria. The Vision of the founders of the University was to establish an institution dedicated to the promotion of learning and culture.

Requirements

  • Degree with at least Second Class Lower Division; with a minimum of 6 years of relevant administrative experience in a university or comparable higher-education institution; postgraduate qualification in administration/management is an advantage
  • Computer proficiency and membership of a relevant professional body required.

Other Requirements:

  • Candidates must possess qualifications obtained from recognized institutions and, where applicable, be eligible for registration with the relevant professional regulatory body.
  • Digital literacy is a requirement.

Salary Range

  • CONTISS 09: N2,597,237.00 – N3,554,620.00 annually.
