Terra Energy Services and its subsidiary companies are leading suppliers of a wide range of upstream engineering and management services including manpower supply, quality management, environmental services, facilities, project and resources management, maintenance, inspection and procurement services with distinctive capabilities in the design and execution of large-scale offshore and onshore projects.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Assistant Project Manager

Location: Lagos or Port Harcourt, Rivers
Job Type: Contract

Job Purpose

  • This position is responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing a structured approach to assessing, developing, and supporting customer operational activities with a focus on assuring customer satisfaction and project success.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • As an Assistant Project Manager you will contribute to the team;
  • Assists in establishing and delivering project-specific objectives
  • Provide key support to the senior leaders in the delivery of commission obligations and internal project performance
  • Contribute to open communications across the project delivery and client teams
  • Establish effective communications across the project delivery, client, and stakeholder teams
  • Implement problem-solving and decision making
  • Adopt program and business management systems across project teams
  • Control the internal and external commercial aspects of the project across a range of contractual arrangements
  • Mentor less experienced colleagues in the skills of project management
  • Contribute to securing opportunities and repeat business through the high-quality service delivery
  • reporting (to ensure that the business is being run properly and complying with legislation and regulations) or conducting research.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Project Management or Engineering
  • Project Management Certification (Compulsory)
  • 5 – 8 years of relevant experience in a structured organization (previous oil & gas or Project Management experience is essential).
  • Seismic Experience is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and effectively resolve complex situations.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel and PowerPoint)
