Job Title: Assistant Farm Manager

Job Summary

• Coker Farm Distribution Limited is seeking a proactive, responsible, and hands-on Assistant Farm Manager to support the day-to-day management of our poultry operations.
• The successful candidate will work closely with the Farm Manager to coordinate farm activities, supervise staff, monitor pen operations, ensure proper bird management, and maintain high standards of productivity, hygiene, and biosecurity.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Farm Manager in overseeing daily farm operations
• Supervise Pen Managers, Pen Attendants, and other farm staff
• Monitor bird health, feeding, water consumption, mortality, and general performance
• Ensure daily farm activities are carried out according to established procedures
• Monitor feed, medication, equipment, and other farm resources
• Ensure proper cleaning, sanitation, and biosecurity practices
• Review daily records and reports from the pens
• Identify operational problems and escalate them promptly
• Coordinate with the veterinarian, maintenance, store, and operations teams
• Assist with stocking, de-stocking, vaccination, medication, and other farm activities
• Ensure staff follow assigned duties and maintain discipline
• Support the Farm Manager in implementing farm policies, SOPs, and operational standards
• Prepare daily operational updates and reports for management
• Step in for the Farm Manager when required

Requirements

• B.Sc./HND in Agriculture, Animal Science, Agricultural Extension, or a related field
• 2–4 years of experience in poultry farming or livestock operations
• Strong practical knowledge of poultry production
• Previous experience supervising farm staff is an advantage
• Good understanding of biosecurity, feeding, medication, and general pen management
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure and make quick decisions
• Must be proactive, disciplined, organized, and hands-on
• Must be willing to work on-site and be actively involved in farm operations.
