We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Assistant Dispatch Manager

Location: Nigeria

Purpose

• To Coordinate and oversee loading and dispatch activities to ensure timely and efficient operations while adhering to standard processes and procedures.
• Optimize delivery planning to prevent customer stock outs and maintain smooth logistics operations.

The Job

• Coordinate loading and dispatch activities in line with standard processes and procedures.
• Monitor customer schedules and proactively plan deliveries to prevent stock outs.
• Supervise and manage the dispatch team to prevent zero-value transactions.
• Engage registered transporters for truck allocation and optimize fleet usage.
• Minimize internal and external demurrage for dedicated trucks through efficient scheduling.
• Prepare and submit daily delivery load out reports for tracking and analysis.
• Notify corporate and dealer customers, as well as the sales team, about deliveries.
• Ensure strict compliance with safety rules and regulations in all dispatch activities.
• Evaluate dispatch performance metrics and implement continuous improvement strategies.

Qualification

• B.Sc. or HND in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience:

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role.

The Person Must:

• Have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Be safety-conscious and ensure strict adherence to safety regulations.
• Have leadership skills with experience supervising or coordinating a dispatch or logistics team.
• Be detail-oriented, with the ability to track and report dispatch performance accurately.
