Margaret Lawrence University (MLU) is a private university established in 2022 under the National Universities Commission Act of 1974 and Education Act of 1993. Founded by the Board of Trustees of the Fountain of Joy and Comfort Foundation in furtherance of its commitment to serving humanity, the University’s Main Campus is located in Galilee, Ika North-East L.G.A of Delta State, while its Medical College, Teaching Hospital, Faculties of Law and Environmental Sciences are situated at the Abuja Campus of the University located in River Park Estate, Airport Road, Lugbe District, Abuja.

Job Title: Assistant Chief Technologist

Location: River Park Estate, Lugbe, Abuja (FCT)
Faculty: Laboratory Technical Services
College: Paul Odili College of Medicine

Minimum Requirements

• Possession of a relevant degree, HND or equivalent qualification in the relevant laboratory discipline.
• Appropriate professional registration/license where applicable.
• Minimum of 8 years relevant post-qualification experience.
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate laboratory activities and supervise junior technical staff.
• Experience in preparing laboratories for practical classes and research activities.
• Good knowledge of laboratory equipment, safety procedures and quality-control practices.
• Ability to maintain laboratory records and monitor laboratory supplies.
• Good knowledge of laboratory equipment, safety procedures and quality-control practices.

Other Requirements:

• Provide verifiable academic and professional credentials.
• Demonstrate competence in laboratory safety and equipment handling
• Be medically fit and capable of performing laboratory duties.
• Demonstrate good communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Be willing to perform other duties assigned by the appropriate University authority
• Candidates with experience in universities, teaching hospitals, research institutes, medical laboratories and other recognized laboratory facilities will have an added advantage.
