Job Title: Area Sales Manager

Location: Abeokuta, Ogun

Job Summary

  • We are seeking an experienced and results-oriented Area Sales Manager to oversee sales operations and drive business growth within the assigned territory.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for achieving sales targets, expanding market share, strengthening distributor and customer relationships, and leading the sales team to deliver exceptional performance.
  • The ideal candidate should possess strong experience within the FMCG industry and have a proven ability to develop effective sales strategies, manage distributor networks, and identify new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve regional sales targets and business objectives.
  • Drive sales growth by expanding market penetration and increasing product visibility.
  • Build, manage, and strengthen relationships with key distributors, wholesalers, sub-dealers, and retail partners.
  • Monitor distributor performance and ensure adequate product availability across assigned territories.
  • Lead, coach, mentor, and motivate the sales team to consistently achieve and exceed performance targets.
  • Identify new business opportunities and expand the customer base within the assigned region.
  • Conduct regular market visits to evaluate sales performance, competitor activities, and market trends.
  • Gather customer feedback and provide market intelligence to support strategic business decisions.
  • Prepare periodic sales forecasts, reports, and performance analyses for management.
  • Ensure compliance with company sales policies, pricing guidelines, and operational standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Supply Chain, and Customer Service, to ensure seamless business operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of sales management experience within the FMCG industry.
  • Proven track record of consistently achieving sales and revenue targets.
  • Experience managing distributors, wholesalers, and dealer networks.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and people management skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management abilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.

Salary
N300,000 – N350,000 Gross Monthly.
