Job Description

• We are seeking passionate and dedicated PSS Animators to join our team, working towards the protection and reintegration of children affected by conflict and crisis in Maiduguri and Adamawa.
• The PSS Animators will play a crucial role in providing psychosocial support and promoting the well-being of children through creative and engaging activities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychosocial support sessions and activities for children affected by conflict and crisis, focusing on their emotional and social well-being.
• Utilize creative and interactive methods, such as art, music, drama, and play, to engage children in a safe and supportive environment.
• Collaborate with child protection teams to identify and address the specific needs and challenges faced by children in the target areas.
• Facilitate group discussions and activities that promote resilience, coping mechanisms, and positive peer interactions among children.
• Work closely with families and communities to promote understanding and support for the psychosocial well-being of children.
• Document and monitor the progress and impact of psychosocial support activities, and contribute to ongoing evaluations and assessments.
• Contribute to the development and adaptation of psychosocial support materials and resources for children and caregivers.
• He / She shall also undertake any other role or responsibility assigned by the line manager.

Reporting:

• He / She as an Animator will work closely with caseworkers and report directly to the reintegration officer.
