Job Title: Agricultural Science Teacher

Location: Owerri, Imo

About the Role

• We are seeking a knowledgeable and passionate Agricultural Science Teacher to deliver engaging lessons that connect theory with real-world applications.
• The ideal candidate will help students understand agricultural principles, food production systems, and sustainability practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach Agricultural Science in line with national and British curriculum standards
• Prepare and deliver well-structured lessons, assessments, and practical activities
• Organize hands-on learning experiences such as farm visits or in-school planting projects
• Introduce students to crop and animal production, soil science, and agri-economics
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and assessments
• Promote awareness of environmental conservation and sustainable agriculture
• Collaborate with staff on integrated science and school projects

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Science, Agricultural Education, or a related field
• Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in a secondary school
• Strong knowledge of curriculum content and practical agricultural applications
• Good communication and classroom management skills
• Ability to plan and lead field-based learning
