Job Description

• Are you physically fit with a love of meeting people, travelling and going outdoors?
• You may also come from a farming background or hold academic qualification in farming or related areas.
• Wazobia Produce is a startup in the agricultural sector looking for a hardworking, sociable individual for a temporary contract with the aim of permanent recruitment.

The Role

• We require the successful applicant to locate farm clusters across Nigeria (South-West and parts of the Middle Belt), speak to farmers and carry out surveys (questionnaires).
• The individual will play a crucial part in collating data required to provide solutions to issues across these farms.

Requirements

• Experience in agriculture (farming, planting, harvesting, disease treatment, logistics) especially, specific to fruits (e.g. tomato) is essential.
• This role is client facing hence, being able to listen, communicate and evaluate technical and non-technical ideas is essential.
• Ability to travel across Nigeria (expenses paid) especially to remote locations is essential.
• Computer literate – ability to use Google Docs and Sheets to document data and present information.

Desirables:

• Having your own means of transportation (especially a motorcycle).
• Demonstrable experience in fruit planting, harvesting and disease treatment.
• Ability to speak multiple languages (especially English, Yoruba and Hausa).
