Job Title: Agric Teacher

Location: Taraba

Job Description

• Provide feedback to students and parents on student progress.
• Offer academic support and guidance to students.
• Advise and mentor students on agricultural projects and career opportunities.
• FFA and Extracurricular Activities (if applicable):
• Advise and support the school’s FFA chapter.
• Organize and supervise FFA activities, including competitions, community service projects, and fundraising events.
• Chaperone students at agricultural conferences and events.

Professional Development:

• Stay current on advancements in agricultural science and education.
• Participate in professional development workshops and conferences.
• Collaborate with colleagues to improve teaching practices.

School and Community Involvement:

• Participate in school meetings and events.
• Communicate effectively with parents and community members.
• Build relationships with local agricultural businesses and organizations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural Science, Agricultural Education, or a related field.
• Valid teaching certification/license in agricultural science.
• Strong knowledge of agricultural science principles and practices.
• Experience teaching agricultural science (preferred).
• Knowledge of FFA and agricultural career opportunities.
• Knowledge of safe handling of chemicals, animals, and machinery related to agriculture.
