Job Title: Accounts Payable Specialist

Location: Mowe, Ogun
Employment Type: Full-time

Position Overview

  • The Accounts Payable Officer will play a vital role in managing the hospital’s financial operations by ensuring accurate and timely processing of payments to vendors and suppliers.
  • This position requires a high level of attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal departments and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process invoices, purchase orders, and payment requests in a timely and accurate manner
  • Verify and reconcile invoices with purchase orders and receiving documents
  • Review and reconcile vendor statements to ensure all payments are up-to-date
  • Communicate with vendors and internal departments to resolve invoice discrepancies and payment issues
  • Prepare and process electronic payments and Bank transfers
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of accounts payable transactions
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, including account reconciliations and reporting
  • Collaborate with the finance team to improve accounts payable processes and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
  • Proven experience in accounts payable or accounting role, preferably in a healthcare setting
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
