Job Title: Accounting Officer

Job Summary

• We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Officer to manage the company’s day-to-day accounting operations, maintain accurate financial records, and support effective financial management.
• The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 3 years of hands-on accounting experience specifically within the construction or warehouse industry.
• This is a mandatory requirement.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and accounting documentation.
• Handle daily accounting transactions, including income, expenses, invoices, receipts, and payments.
• Prepare and maintain financial reports, statements, and reconciliations.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable.
• Monitor expenses, purchases, and other financial transactions.
• Reconcile bank statements and company accounts regularly.
• Maintain proper records of inventory, stock movements, and related financial transactions where applicable.
• Work closely with procurement, operations, warehouse, and management teams to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Monitor project-related expenses and costs, particularly in relation to construction activities.
• Assist with budgeting, cash-flow monitoring, and financial planning.
• Ensure proper documentation and filing of accounting records.
• Support the company in meeting relevant tax, audit, and statutory requirements.
• Identify discrepancies or irregularities in financial records and resolve them promptly.
• Perform other accounting duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree / HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of professional accounting experience in the construction or warehouse industry.
• Candidates without at least 3 years of relevant construction or warehouse accounting experience should not apply.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Strong integrity and confidentiality in handling financial information.
• ICAN qualification or relevant ICAN certification is a strong advantage.
• Must be available to resume immediately.

Salary
N350,000 monthly.
