We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Accountant

Location: Jahi, Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday | 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Accounting:

• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports and management accounts.
• Maintain the general ledger and perform bank, supplier and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Ensure accurate recording and classification of all financial transactions.

Project Accounting & Cost Control:

• Track project costs, expenses, materials and subcontractor payments.
• Monitor project budgets and identify cost variances.
• Support project costing, financial forecasting and profitability analysis.
• Ensure project-related expenditures are properly authorised and documented.

Cash Flow & Financial Management:

• Monitor cash flow, receivables, payables and financial commitments.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and cash flow planning.
• Prepare financial analysis and reports to support management decisions.

Tax, Payroll & Compliance:

• Ensure timely tax computations, statutory deductions and remittances.
• Support payroll processing and reconciliation.
• Maintain compliance with applicable accounting, tax and regulatory requirements.

Audit & Internal Controls:

• Prepare schedules and supporting documents for internal and external audits.
• Maintain effective financial controls and proper documentation.
• Identify financial discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.

Procurement & Supplier Accounting:

• Review supplier invoices, payment requests and supporting documentation.
• Reconcile supplier accounts and monitor outstanding obligations.
• Work closely with Procurement and Project teams to ensure financial accuracy.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related discipline.
• ACA/ICAN qualification is mandatory.
• 5–7 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in construction, engineering, real estate or a related industry.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, taxation, budgeting and financial controls.
• Experience with project accounting, cost control and construction-related financial transactions is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP software.
• Strong analytical, numerical and problem-solving skills.
• High level of integrity, accuracy, confidentiality and attention to detail.

Benefits

• Salary: N350,000 – N500,000 monthly.
• Other Benefits: Pension, HMO.
