We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Accountant

Location: Lekki Phase 1, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities
Financial Record Keeping:

• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records.
• Recording financial transactions, including revenue, expenses, assets, liabilities, and equity.
• Reconciling bank statements and other financial accounts.

Financial Reporting:

• Preparing financial statements, such as income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Analyzing financial data and identifying trends and potential issues.
• Preparing reports for management and stakeholders.

Tax Compliance:

• Preparing and filing tax returns.
• Ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations.
• Providing tax planning and advice.

Auditing:

• Performing internal audits to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records.
• Assisting with external audits.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

• Assisting in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
• Monitoring actual performance against budgets.

Financial Analysis and Advice:

• Analyzing financial data to identify areas for improvement and cost savings.
• Providing financial advice to management and other stakeholders.

Other Duties:

• Using accounting software and other tools to manage financial data.
• Staying up-to-date with changes in accounting standards and regulations.
• Collaborating with other departments within the company.

Skills and Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Certifications:Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or other relevant certifications.

Skills:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Proficiency in accounting software.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and tax laws.
• Excellent understanding of accounting rules and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles(GAAP)
• Advanced knowledge and experience with spreadsheets.
• Ability to work independently.
• Analytical skills.
