Job Summary

• As an Accountant you will responsible for managing financial records, ensuring accuracy in reporting, and helping organizations comply with financial laws and regulations. Here’s a clear breakdown of a typical accountant job description:

Core Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain financial records (ledgers, journals, statements)
• Analyze financial data and produce reports (profit & loss, balance sheets)
• Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations
• Prepare and file tax returns
• Monitor budgets and forecast financial performance
• Conduct audits or assist with internal/external audits
• Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies
• Advise management on financial decisions and cost reduction

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Relevant work experience (varies by role level)

Key Skills:

• Strong numerical and analytical skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Knowledge of accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP)

Salary
N100,000 – N200,000 per month.
