Iknorbert Communications Limited was established as a company in 2012 after a critical research and observation of the need for a wider deep distribution channel for communication products within the African continent. We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Accountant 

Location: Orile Iganmu, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

  • We have an urgent need for an Accountant whose main roles shall be to prepare financial statements and reports, manage tax returns, and oversee audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.
  • He shall also analyse financial data to provide guidance on budgets, cost reduction, and profit maximization, and manage accounts payable and receivable.

Responsibilities

  • Financial reporting: Create and present financial statements, such as balance sheets, cash flow statements, and profit and loss statements.
  • Tax Management: Prepare and file tax returns, and provide tax planning services in accordance with current legislation.
  • Auditing and compliance: Conduct internal audits, cooperate with external auditors, and ensure all financial records comply with government regulations and accounting standards.
  • Financial analysis: Analyse financial data to help with budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and risk analysis. They may recommend actions to improve revenue and profitability.
  • Record-keeping: Document and maintain accurate financial transactions, including processing accounts payable and receivable, and reconciling bank statements.
  • Budgeting: Develop, review, and manage budgets for individuals or organizations.
  • Advisory services: Provide financial advice to management on business decisions.
  • Payroll management: Oversee the payroll process and ensure accurate expense tracking.

Requirements

  • Education: B.Sc / HND in Accounting, Business Administration
  • Technical skills: Proficiency in accounting software (like Busy Accounting Software or others), Microsoft Office, and a strong understanding of accounting principles.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills: The ability to interpret complex financial data and identify solutions.in a Sales/Trading Company
  • Attention to detail: Meticulousness is critical for ensuring accuracy in financial records.
  • Communication skills: The ability to explain complex financial information clearly to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
  • Professional certifications: ICAN.
