Job Title: Accountant

Location: Lekki, Lagos

Job Summary

• We are seeking a highly competent and experienced Accountant with proven experience working with a reputable betting/gaming company to join our growing team in Lagos.
• The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of accounting operations within the betting and gaming industry, including high-volume transactions, payment reconciliations, revenue reporting, settlements, cash flow management and financial controls.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting transactions and maintain accurate financial records.
• Reconcile bank accounts, payment gateways and gaming-related transactions.
• Monitor revenue, settlements, expenses and cash flow.
• Prepare monthly financial and management reports.
• Maintain accurate ledgers, schedules and supporting documentation.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis.
• Monitor financial controls and identify discrepancies.
• Support tax compliance, audits and financial reviews.
• Work closely with Finance, Operations, Compliance and other relevant teams.
• Provide accurate financial information to support management decision-making.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Previous experience working with a reputable betting, gaming, sportsbook or online gaming company is mandatory.
• Strong understanding of betting/gaming financial transactions and reconciliation processes.
• Experience with payment gateways, bank reconciliation and settlement processes.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Good knowledge of Nigerian tax and financial compliance requirements.
• ICAN/ACCA qualification or progress toward qualification is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, numerical and problem-solving skills.
• High level of accuracy, integrity and confidentiality.
