Job Title: Accountant

Location: Plot B, Block 1B, Sparklight Estate, Isheri – Lagos

Description

• We are seeking a hands-on and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team in Lagos.
• The Accountant will be responsible for managing the company’s day-to-day accounting activities, maintaining accurate financial records, supporting financial reporting and ensuring compliance with applicable accounting and statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting and financial records.
• Manage day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting transactions.
• Prepare and maintain financial statements and management reports.
• Perform bank and other account reconciliations.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable.
• Monitor company income, expenses and cash flow.
• Support budgeting, financial planning and forecasting.
• Ensure timely and accurate statutory and tax-related obligations.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, banks and relevant regulatory bodies when required.
• Support payroll-related accounting activities.
• Maintain proper documentation and filing of financial records.
• Monitor compliance with internal financial controls and accounting procedures.
• Provide accurate financial information and analysis to support management decision-making.
• Identify financial discrepancies, control gaps and areas for improvement.
• Perform other accounting and finance-related duties as may be assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• 2–4 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Previous experience working in an IT, technology or consulting company is an added advantage.
• Good knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting and bookkeeping.
• Understanding of Nigerian tax and statutory compliance requirements.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with Sage is an added advantage.
• ICAN, ACCA or ANAN qualification is an added advantage.
• Strong numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities.
• High level of integrity, confidentiality and professionalism.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
