We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Accountant

Location: Ikoyi, Lagos

Requirements / Competencies

• Degree qualified (minimum Second Class Upper or Lower), with a professional certificate – (ACA, ACCA, ICAN), and well versed in Accountancy and Taxation. A Postgraduate Degree will be an added advantage.
• Minimum of five (5) years experience as a full-charge Accountant, with responsibilities including client billing in a law or professional service firm environment.
• Must possess strong administrative and organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Professional appearance and manner. Good at analyzing and resolving complex financial problems, with high level of competency in the use of computers to enhance work performance, self motivated, diligent and enthusiatic with strong business orientation and analytical skills.

Have trackable knowledge, abilities and skills to:

• Develop and implement proper accounting format and procedures by analyzing current procedures and recommending changes
• Perform all bookkeeping and accounting functions
• Handle payroll
• Reconcile bank statements
• Handle insurance
• Reconcile revenue accounts
• Liase with external auditors and tax consultants
• Prepare comprehensive proactive and timely cash flow statements and bank reconciliation statements
• Filing of firm’s PAYE and other Tax returns
• Prepare and maintain the fixed asset register
• Provide all required financial reports to the Management on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis.
• Perform all data entry of cash receipts and disbursements for the relevant account in the accounting systems.
