We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Accountant / Auditor / Recording Officer

Location: Benin City, Edo
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Accountant/Auditor/Recording Officer to manage our financial records, conduct audits, and ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of the company and ensuring compliance with all financial regulations.
  • This role will work closely with the Administrative Assistant/Secretary/Financial Secretary and report to the Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, invoices, receipts, and payments.
  • Auditing: Conduct regular audits to ensure financial integrity and compliance with company policies and regulations.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Budget Management: Assist in the preparation and monitoring of budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
  • Tax Compliance: Ensure timely and accurate filing of tax returns and compliance with all tax regulations.
  • Expense Tracking: Monitor and track company expenses, identifying areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvement.
  • Payroll Management: Oversee payroll processing, ensuring accurate and timely payment of salaries and benefits.
  • Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Internal Controls: Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and prevent fraud.
  • Support Tasks: Perform other accounting and financial tasks as required to support the smooth operation of the company.

Qualifications

  • Education: Minimum of a Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience: Proven experience in accounting, auditing, or financial management.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong work ethic and dedication to maintaining high standards.

Location Requirement:

  • Candidates must reside in Benin City, its environs, or be willing to relocate.

Salary
N200,000 – N300,000 / month.
