Job Title: Accountant

Job Summary

• We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Accountant to manage the Company’s financial records, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and support effective financial decision-making.
• The Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, managing transactions, and ensuring adherence to internal controls and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Management & Reporting:

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and accounting documents.
• Process and record daily financial transactions.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Reconcile bank statements and company accounts.
• Monitor cash flow and maintain proper financial controls.
• Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting.
• Prepare management reports and provide financial insights.

Accounts Payable & Receivable:

• Process vendor invoices and payments promptly.
• Monitor outstanding receivables and follow up on collections.
• Reconcile supplier and customer accounts.
• Ensure proper documentation and approval of all transactions.

Payroll Administration:

• Prepare and process staff payroll accurately and timely.
• Ensure statutory deductions are correctly calculated and remitted.
• Maintain payroll records and employee payment schedules.

Compliance & Audit:

• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.
• Prepare tax schedules and support statutory filings.
• Assist external and internal auditors during audits.
• Maintain proper documentation for audit purposes.

Financial Control & Risk Management;

• Monitor expenses and ensure adherence to approved budgets.
• Identify financial risks and recommend corrective actions.
• Ensure proper safeguarding of company assets and funds.
• Implement and maintain internal financial controls.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional certification (ICAN, ACCA, ACA, ANAN) is an added advantage.
• 2–5 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Experience with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Knowledge of Nigerian tax laws and financial regulations is an advantage.

Salary
N250,000 – N350,000 monthly.
