Job Title: Account Officer

Location: Island, Lagos

Job Summary

• The Account Officer will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, handling accounts payable/receivable, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies. The role requires strong analytical skills, integrity, and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all financial transactions.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable; ensure timely payments and collections.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management review.
• Assist in budget preparation and monitor expenditure against budget.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations (PAYE, VAT, WHT) and support audits.
• Process payroll in collaboration with the HR/Admin department.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to support business decisions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fields.
• Minimum of 3 years’ proven experience as an Account Officer or in a similar role.
• Professional certification (ICAN, ACA, or ACCA) is an added advantage.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.

Salary
N150,000 Monthly.
