We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Account Officer

Location: Akinyele, Oyo
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Purpose

  • To ensure proper accounts are kept
  • To advise Management on the actual financial position of the branch
  • To ensure a working budget
  • To constantly improve the efficiency level while operational expenses are kept at the minimum level.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • I.O.U., Payment vouchers, Requisition forms, receipt vouchers, delivery vouchers etc.
  • Raise required journals
  • Facilitate the budget draft and ensure approval
  • Monitor branch performance as per the approved budget
  • Generate weekly, monthly and annual budget variance analysis reports for the Branch Manager/Management
  • Responsible for the functions of Accounts Officer, Supervisor, Cashier and Clerk under the department.
  • Ensure up-to-date customer accounts
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly returns
  • Reconcile Current Accounts.
  • Reconcile Bank Accounts
  • Ensure prompt lodgment of cash and draft to the bank
  • Organize and supervise monthly stock-taking.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (Accounting or any other related course) from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a veterinary pharmaceutical setting.
