We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Account Officer

Location: Mainland, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Account Officer with 2–3 years of hands-on experience in finance and accounting within a manufacturing environment.
  • The successful candidate will work with the finance manager, supporting daily accounting operations, maintaining accurate financial records, and assisting in financial reporting in line with regulatory standards and company policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Record and process daily financial transactions, including purchases, receipts, payments, and general ledger entries.
  • Assist in preparing monthly bank reconciliations and resolving any discrepancies.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of accounts payable and receivable.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Support inventory accounting by reconciling stock records and liaising with the production and warehouse teams.
  • Monitor and update fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules.
  • Participate in periodic audits and stock-taking exercises.
  • Ensure proper filing and archiving of accounting documents for compliance and audit purposes.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes as directed.
  • Assist in payroll processing and statutory deductions such as VAT, PAYE, and WHT.

Requirements

  • Education: B.Sc / HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2–3 years relevant experience in an accounting/finance role, preferably within a manufacturing or production company.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and standards (IFRS/GAAP).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, Tally, or ERP systems).
  • Good analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
