Globa HR Always – Our client is a Major Importer and Distributor of frozen fish in West Africa.

They are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Account Officer – Female

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers

Responsibilities

• Inspect financial records to ensure accuracy and overall legal and regulatory compliance.
• Calculate taxes owed, prepare tax returns, and complete financial tax transactions.
• Balance company budget.
• Look out for inefficiencies and make recommendations to management.
• Ensure financial statements are organized and maintained at all times.
• Create regulatory reports for internal auditors.
• Notify management of any non-compliant employee financial practices.
• Present all financial findings to management, i.e. prepare written reports and attend face-to-face meetings for review.
• Reconcile accounts with the general ledger.
• Handle general account queries.
• Handle Branch payee deductions
• Preparation of payroll.
• Preparing Vesa global report.
• Bank reconciliation.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Branch Manager, HOD Finance
• Manage sales and stock of the branch

Requirements

•  Minimum of a Second-Class Upper Degree in Accounting.
•  Minimum of 5 years of previous experience as a corporate Accountant.

Skills and Competencies:

• Proficient computer skills, including the ability to prepare spreadsheets.
• Good oral and written communication.
• Ability to use accounting software.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff, etc.

Salary
N250,000 – N300,000 / month.
