Job Title: Accounts Officer 

Location: Diedie, Abuja (FCT)

Reports To: Accountant / Finance Manager
Department: Finance & Accounts

Job Summary

  • We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Accounts Officer to support the company’s day-to-day financial operations.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for recording transactions, maintaining financial records, processing payments, reconciling accounts, and supporting accurate financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Record daily financial transactions accurately and promptly.
  • Maintain proper records of income, expenses, payments, and receipts.
  • Prepare and process invoices, receipts, payment vouchers, and other financial documents.
  • Reconcile cash, bank, and other financial records regularly.
  • Monitor customer payments and follow up on outstanding balances.
  • Assist with supplier and vendor payment documentation.
  • Maintain accurate records of accounts payable and receivable.
  • Support stock and inventory reconciliation with the Operations/Warehouse team.
  • Review operational documents such as delivery notes, invoices, and purchase records for accuracy.
  • Assist with preparation of daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports.
  • Monitor petty cash transactions and ensure proper documentation.
  • Assist with payroll-related calculations and other administrative finance tasks when required.
  • Ensure financial records are properly filed and easily accessible.
  • Support the Accountant/Finance Manager during audits and financial reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with company financial policies and procedures.
  • Perform other accounting duties assigned by the Finance Manager.

  • Accuracy of financial records
  • Timely posting and reconciliation of transactions
  • Accuracy of invoices, receipts, and payment documentation
  • Timely follow-up on outstanding receivables
  • Accuracy of cash and bank reconciliation
  • Proper documentation and filing of financial records
  • Timely submission of financial reports
  • Reduction in accounting discrepancies

Requirements

  • HND/Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • 1–3 years’ experience in accounting or finance, preferably in a warehouse, logistics, distribution, retail, or related business.
  • Good understanding of basic accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Good organisational and record-keeping skills.
  • Ability to reconcile financial records and identify discrepancies.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • High level of integrity and confidentiality.

Salary
N120,000 monthly
