Pediatric Nurse

Job Summary

  • We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Pediatric Nurse to provide specialized care to infants, children, and adolescents.
  • The job holder will be responsible for assessing, monitoring, and delivering high-quality nursing care while ensuring the physical and emotional well-being of young patients.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct patient assessments and monitor vital signs.
  • Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as prescribed.
  • Assist in diagnostic tests and procedures for pediatric patients.
  • Educate parents and caregivers on child health, nutrition, and disease prevention.
  • Provide emotional support to children and families during treatment.
  • Collaborate with pediatricians and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with healthcare standards.
  • Implement infection control and safety protocols in pediatric care.

Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse (RN) Certfication from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 1 year relevant work experience in pediatric nursing.
  • Must be registered with the National Association of Nurses and Midwifery of Nigeria and licensed to practice as a Pediatric Nurse.
  • Strong knowledge of child growth and development, immunization schedules, and pediatric emergencies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient care skills.
