Job Title: Shift Electrical & Instrumentation Technician

Job Description

• Electrical technician will evaluate, assemble, and maintain electrical systems in equipment which are not predominantly portable. Will not design electrical systems but will identify potential problems in the design and proactively work towards ensuring it doesn’t affect work delivery.
• He should be able to read electrical system design plans and recommend improvements, as well as calibrate instruments, and diagnose faulty equipment.
• Assembling, evaluating, testing and maintaining electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, and apparatus.
• Troubleshooting and repairing malfunctioning equipment, appliances, and apparatus.
• Constructing and fabricating parts, using hand tools and specifications.
• Reading and interpreting electrical and electronic circuit blueprints, diagrams, and schematics.
• Advising management on continued use of unsuitable equipment, appliances, and apparatus.
• Supervising electricians.
• Ordering of electrical supplies and equipment.

Key Deliverables

• Always ensure that all jobs are carried out safely
• 100% compliance on ECLOTO for any energy isolation
• Always follow the safety norms and safety permits and keep them updated
• Use appropriate PPEs while carrying out jobs
• Ensure all the working areas are clean during and after work
• Obey & Observe instructions by Team Leads during execution of all the jobs related to safety and quality.

Requirements

• HND/Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or similar qualification.
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Electrical Technician in a related industry.
• Extensive knowledge of Electrical engineering designs, installations, maintenance, and repairs.
• Proficiency in Electrical design and diagnostic testing software.
• Exceptional analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Great organizational and time management abilities.
