Job Title: SEO Specialist, and Copywriter

Position Overview: Mechanic On The Go, a dynamic startup in the automotive industry, is seeking a versatile Head of Content who is also an experienced SEO Specialist and skilled Copywriter. This role is pivotal for elevating our online presence and ensuring that our web and social media content reaches and engages our target audience effectively. The successful candidate will review our existing website, identify areas for improvement, and develop and implement strategies to boost our online visibility and ranking. Additionally, they will craft compelling blog posts and copy that resonate with our target personas.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Content Strategy and Creation:
   • Develop and execute a comprehensive content strategy for both the website and social media platforms.
   • Create high-quality and engaging content, including articles, blog posts, videos, infographics, and more, related to automotive and mechanic services.
2. SEO Optimization:
   • Conduct keyword research to identify relevant and high-traffic keywords in the automotive and mechanic industry.
   • Optimize website content, meta tags, and descriptions for search engines to improve organic search ranking.
   • Monitor and adjust SEO strategies to stay aligned with search engine algorithm updates.
3. Copywriting:
   • Craft persuasive and customer-centric copy for marketing materials, website, and social media posts.
   • Ensure consistent messaging and branding across all written content.
4. Website Review and Improvement:
   • Conduct a thorough review of our current website (mechaniconthego.com.ng) to identify areas for improvement, including user experience, content quality, and technical issues.
   • Propose and implement changes and enhancements to improve the website’s performance, speed, and mobile-friendliness.
5. Competitor Analysis:
   • Analyze competitors’ online strategies and identify opportunities to outperform them in search rankings and content quality

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as an SEO Specialist, Copywriter, and Content Creator, preferably in the automotive or related industry.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating diverse written work, from blog posts to marketing copy.
• Proficiency in SEO tools and analytics, such as Google Analytics, SEMrush, or Moz.
• Up-to-date knowledge of SEO best practices and search engine algorithms.
• Excellent writing and editing skills.
• Familiarity with website management and CMS platforms.
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field (preferred).
