OppApp is a new early-stage Educational technology (EdTech) and Service Provider startup based on an ambitious & exciting, yet realistic product vision. Africa is the world’s youngest continent and expanding the fastest. The number of young people working in Africa will rise to 375 million by 2030. The International Monetary Fund estimates that by 2035, there will be more young Africans joining the workforce each year than there are in the rest of the world put together due to population growth on the continent. The number of young individuals looking for work is much higher than the number of opportunities that are open to them. The skills of young people entering the workforce and the needs of companies are also out of sync.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Senior Content Manager (Sweat Equity)

Location: Lekki Phase 1, Lagos (Remote)

Job Description

  • The individuals who will be hired for this position will be given a significant amount of equity given that the company is at ideation stage. The person is fully remote.
  • The company is in its pre-seed with interest from few VCs once an MVP is made and possible grants from NEAR protocol.
  • We are at a critical stage in our growth and have an urgent need for a Senior Content Manager. Ideally, we want someone with previous startup experience who has experience in all phases of the Product process and is an expert.
  • We are looking for a highly energetic and collaborative Senior Content Manager who can Lead /work individually with the development, QA, product owners’ team and adhere to standardized BA policies, processes, and documentation standards, overseeing and/or participating in all aspects of the Project Life Cycle.
  • The Senior Content Manager will be responsible for participating in all phases of the project life cycle.
  • We are in need of a Senior Content Manager, who will be responsible for developing global content strategy across all our owned media channels including our website, community channels, social media, and blogs.
  • In this role, you’ll be part of our innovative and rapidly growing Next-Generation Technology Solutions Business. We provide the tools, resources, and team members to simplify the delivery of Cloud, Blockchain, Data & IoT solutions and create a seamless end-to-end process for our customers.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with domain experts and IT leadership team is key to be successful in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Campaign Development – Execute full-cycle marketing campaigns for. Create compelling strategies to drive success of product launches and business development efforts.
  • Content Development – Create engaging content by executing on company’s positioning strategy.
  • Drive brand awareness, generate new users, and connect with audiences.
  • Develop longer form product content that can be distributed across various media platforms.
  • Ensure all content plans come to fruition by managing the day-to-day operations of content ideation, selection, development, and delivery.
  • Manage the Content Calendar – Manage deployment of content calendar and coordinate with Marketing team members to ensure that timelines and deliverables are in line with roadmap goals.
  • Be a Collaborative Partner – Develop strong cross-functional partnerships with Product, Business Development, Design, and other Marketing team members to understand and engage in development of content surrounding new product development.
  • Engage the blockchain community. Understand what makes our Company unique.
  • Define the narratives that will excite our space and build confidence with our audience.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess a Master’s Degree / Bachelor’s Degree / HND qualification.
  • 5+ years Marketing experience.
  • 5+ years owning the development and execution of full-cycle marketing campaigns.
  • 5+ years owning complete content creation across multiple platforms (i.e. websites, twitter, discord, medium, press release, blogs, etc.).
  • 5+years management content roadmap / technical product release sprints.
  • 5+ years’ experience in a product focused web 3 company.
  • A passionate crypto enthusiast and trader that deeply understands the motives of crypto users and traders
  • Familiar with the emerging DeFi landscape and what differentiates projects from one another.
  • Strong communicator and collaborator with a proven record of cross-functional leadership.
  • Strong English writing and communication skills.
  • Develop strategic direction from market information, and creates compelling market analysis presentations.
  • Able to quickly pivot against a current strategy if proven ineffective based on ROI and results.
