Job Title: Security Officer

Job Summary

• The Security Officer plays a crucial role in ensuring the wellbeing and safety of staff and visitors, by conducting surveillance, detecting and addressing any suspicious behavior, and effectively preventing criminal activity.
• Additionally, the Security Officer takes responsibility for upholding optimal working conditions at all DCT’s facilities.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Regularly patrol the premises to maintain order and establish a presence.
• Monitor and authorize the entrance of vehicles or people onto the property.
• Remove individuals who are engaged in wrongdoing or trespassing from the area.
• Ensure that all exits, doors, and windows are secured after the end of operations.
• Periodically check surveillance cameras to identify any disruptions or unlawful acts.
• Conduct investigations on individuals displaying suspicious activity or possessing suspicious items.
• Respond to alarms by promptly investigating and assessing the situation.
• Provide assistance to individuals in need.
• Apprehend and detain perpetrators according to legal protocol prior to the arrival of authorities.
• Submit reports detailing the daily surveillance activity and any significant incidents.

Requirements

• Minimum requirement: OND in Security Administration or related fields.
• Must have proven experience as a security officer or guard, with at least 3-4 years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of legal guidelines on area security and public safety is required.
• Familiarity with report writing is necessary.
• Excellent surveillance and observation skills are essential.
• Tech-savvy individuals with experience in surveillance systems are preferred.
• Applicants should have adequate knowledge of first aid administration and self-defense.
